What is important?
Although taking on as many tables as possible and serving them efficiently can boost sales, making the guest feel comfortable and at home will ultimately serve the restaurant and the server better in the long run.

- You can be rewarded by providing better service to fewer tables.
- Smile all the time when on the restaurant floor.
- Treat the restaurant like a stage with you as the actor – smile!
- Stand straight and don't slouch.
- Serving can be stressful, but do not let this show to the guest.
Eliminate guest complaints
  • Guests are much less likely to complain if you have created a relationship with them and you keep them informed.
  • Once a guest starts complaining, it is difficult to shift their attitude back to a happy state.
  • Respond to their concerns with polite explanations.
  • Be proactive and keep the guest informed if there is a delay or problem – before they mention it to you.

Saying goodbye
  • Remember to maintain the “guest connect” after they have paid their bill and tipped.
  • Make the connection a sincere interaction with your guests and they will return and remember you.
  • Make your primary focus contacting and connecting with the guest rather than delivering food to the table.
  • Make customers feel like guests

Final notes
  • There is a lot of information contained in this guide! Believe it or not, however, there is even more information that is not.
  • We want you to use the service tips in the manual, along with your common sense, and above all, YOUR individuality, to help create an atmosphere that will encourage good times for our guests, and yourself. When this happens, you will be ensuring the success of not only GlenEagles, but also yourself.

GOOD LUCK!!!

I am ready to test my knowledge, lets start the test.

Although we would like to accomidate the requests of all our guests, we also must protect the sale of our inventory.  If a customer is unable to provide a credit card, we will be unable to start a tab for them.  More times than not the customer WILL NOT return to clear up their tab.  They are busy with their game, having fun with their friends, or they just forget.  We need the credit card to ring through the tab at the end of the day in order to get our payment and for you to receive your tip.

What Our Guests SayView All

  • "One of my favorite courses in the south! I’m a novice golfer that enjoys the game more than keeping score, so I can’t speak to the difficulty of the course, but for an amateur, it kept me engaged for 18 holes and I never felt discouraged. The drink cart came around twice and she was situated at 5/15 which was perfect. (The club house is at the turn around) The course was beautiful and fun to play, I will definitely be back."

    - Kristy
  • “Visited Blue Devil golf course today. It's in excellent shape, greens rolled perfectly. The staff was very friendly.”

    - Kirpal
  • “This is one of my favorite places to golf. The course is in great condition. The staff there are really nice. The food is great. My only issue is the bunkers. They're crazy deep! Lol. Definitely my problem.”

    - Mandy
